ShelterMeds exists to help animal shelters and nonprofit organizations access affordable medication support, health education, and related resources for animals in their care.
Shelter animals often need more than food, housing, and basic attention. Many require medication, treatment support, or specialized care resources before they can be comfortable, stable, and ready for adoption. ShelterMeds was created to help address that gap.
The long-term vision is to operate as a nonprofit compounding pharmacy serving shelters and rescues — preparing and supplying free or low-cost medications that help prevent treatable conditions from standing between animals and adoption.

ShelterMeds is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization recognized by the IRS, effective August 14, 2025. We're in our early chapter — building the programs, partnerships, and resources needed to serve shelters responsibly.
We're starting with shelters close to home in Ohio, with the long-term goal of supporting organizations nationwide. Donations help us launch programs and reach more shelters caring for animals in need.
